6/29/2023 0 Comments Twitterrific apk androidExcept for those things I listed so far, otherwise I prefer the UI/UX of Tweetbot over Twitterrific. It seems to refresh the timeline faster, and I like the unread indicator more on Tweetbot. On the other hand, I think that Tweetbot syncs to the last read tweet better for the times when I use my iPad and then go back to my iPhone. And this was on an iPhone 13 Pro, so it’s not like it’s a slower, older phone. I was using Tweetbot for a while last fall, but this was the biggest thing that brought me back to Twitterrific. This may now be fixed, but for quite some time after Tweetbot 6 was released it would mistake my swipe gesture for a tap, particularly when I happened to tap first on a quoted tweet or a preview of a link. So you need to tap the quoted tweet to get the full context. It shows the complete text of the tweet, while Tweetbot shows only a portion, at least most of the time. I prefer the way Twitterrific handles quoted tweets. I prefer looking at them from older to newer as I scroll down, and, while I like that Twitteriffic separates replies from following a thread, IIRC replies seem to be sorted newest to oldest, which is like reading a conversation backwards to me. I think it shows replies to tweets better. I think it shows links better - there is always a preview within the tweet since last year's release that uses the Twitter V2 API. There are a few things I prefer about Tweetbot: I also have a few searches that I look at daily, and Twitteriffic tracks where I last left off, unlike Tweetbot I have multiple twitter lists that I follow, and I can pin more than one list to the bar on the bottom than I can with Tweetbot, which just lets you pin lists period. Then again, I do like Tweetbot's "mute for x hours", when I can do things like mute a bunch of stuff (like Grammy awards tweets or something) that I don't care about that will stop after a few hours This new version adds features that were missing in the earlier ones, and is much quicker. Twitterrific is a free, ad supported Twitter client for iPhone. Twitteriffic has powerful muffle rules, better than Tweetbot's mute filters.
